Would You Rather?

Postby iDelaney on Tue Jan 06, 2009 7:54 am

Ok, well my friends and I play this game all the time. It's where you ask something like, "Would you rather kiss a pig or jump off a cliff?" And then the person in the next post answers which they would rather do and another "Would You Rather..." question.

Aaaaaaaaand... GO! *Waves green flag*

Alrighty. I'll start.

Would you rather have a one night stand with a celebrity or have a life long relationship with an average-joe?
And since I am dead, I can take off my head; To recite Shakespearean quotations

Life long relationship with the Average Joe.

Would you rather pack up all your things and move to another country tomorrow or live in the exact same home you're in now for the rest of your life?
And what of Henry, my Odysseus? Henry is an artist of another sort, a disappearing artist. Our life together in this too-small apartment is punctuated by Henry's small absences.

Same home for the rest of my life......if the rest of the family moved out.

Would you rather drive around for the rest of your life or never drive at all?

Well, I guess it would depend on what I was driving, but I'll say I'd rather drive around. Who knows where I might end up.

Would you rather be rich and not happy or very poor and extremely happy?

Very poor and extremely happy.

And now I'm gonna steal something that my friend Albie made up at camp, because it's friggin hilarious.

Would you rather run a marathon, or eat a puppy? (I kid you not, he used that one on me. I nearly peed myself)

Okay, I only run when chased, but I'm NOT gonna eat a puppy! I guess I'll run the marathon...

Would you rather be a doctor or a lawyer?

Lawyer, for prosecution. It slightly ties into my dream job because I would have to deal with lawyers.

Would you rather be 'pole' skinny and hate food and your life or 400 pounds, but love your life and food?

This is going to sound totally shallow, but having battled my weight my entire life, I'd rather be thin and not as happy.

Would you rather snow ski or water ski?

Snow ski. I'd rather be cold and dry than cold and wet.

Would you rather have fifteen cats or five big dogs?

Well it really depends on what it is. Sometimes it's foolish to do something the hard way. Sometimes it's foolish to do it the easy way.

And I'd take the dogs any day.

Would you rather have complet control over something or delegate tasks out to other people?

(I prefer to have complete control. I'm very very very bad at delegation. Jodie can attest. It took me a long time to be comfortable with trusting any FCG stuff at all to other people. And you guys can tell I sitll struggle to check my power sometimes.)

Depends again. But I'm more for the delegating.

Would you rather be a musical genius or a mathematical genius?

Musical genius every time! I'm already pretty musical. I sing and play the clarinet (although I haven't yet perfected the art of doing both at the same time!) but I'm a long way from being a genius at either.

And I leave all the mathematical genius stuff to my younger son. He gave up asking me for help with his homework in Y2!

Would you rather go shopping or read a good book?
I've learned so much from my mistakes... I think I'll make another one!

Read a good book. I can't stand shopping. When I go shopping with my mother and sisters I feel like pulling my hair out. If I'm with friends we get bored very easily and I end up spending all of my money on stupid things. That reminds me, I cleaned my room yesterday and found $97.00.

Would you rather have a high paying job that you hate with every fiber of your being or a low paying job that you can't wait to get to every single day?

That's a really tough choice Taylor. I want to love my job but I'm not going to lie... money is important.

I already struggle enough to pay my bills. I can't imagine how much worse off I'd be if I didn't have a pretty good job.

Would you rather have someone give you one million dollars or work hard for a half of a million dollars?
