JKR. Hands down.

As for Amanda's question I'd rather read Harry Potter than Twilight.. I would enjoy having both Robert Pattenson (sp?) and Daniel Radcliffe. Both are VERY attractive. Even though Dan's younger than I am. As for the characters... you couldn't pay me enough to romance either one. Harry and Edward both turn me off.

Would you rather... have every story on your profile at ff.net be favorited and alerted but recieve no reviews. Or, recieve a total of ten reviews but no favorites or alerts?

(I'd take the reviews, even though it's a small number in comparison. I detest getting alerted and especially favorited without a review.)
And what of Henry, my Odysseus? Henry is an artist of another sort, a disappearing artist. Our life together in this too-small apartment is punctuated by Henry's small absences.

I'd definitely rather take the reviews, first of all because they provide more useful criticism. Also, there are a lot of readers who favorite pretty much everything they read, whether it's good or not. And because I love reviews ;)

Would you rather have a perfect boyfriend/significant other or write the perfect story (and get an amazing number or reviews and favorites on said story)?

This may sound like a copout, but I don't think there's a 'perfect' either.

Writing because it is something that you're so constantly improving on that something can only really be perfect for like a month.

And a significant other... well, as far as I know there's no such thing as a perfect significant other. But I've never actually had a significant other, so moot point.

But in the hypothetical, probably a significant other, becuase like I said, writing's something to improve on and have fun with, so there's no excitemet if you get something perfect.

Because if you do, after that, you're screwed. Haha.

Would you rather be able to sing like Julie Andrews (pre-illness) or play like Miles Davis (pre-death)?

Definitely Miles Davis - I just don't look good as a nun!! (Oh, just use your imagination!)

Would you rather be taught the most exciting subject by the most boring person, or taught the most boring subject by the most exciting person?

Definitely the latter! Easily. Because having a great teacher can make a subject, whether or not the content's boring. It sucks having a dull teacher for an interesting subject. Like my science teacher last year. He was as dull as cardboard, but I love science. And it sucks to not want to go to a class you used to love because the teacher's boring.

Most of the time, a dull teacher makes the subject dull, no matter how interesting the subject matter is. An exciting teacher, on the other hand, can make even the most boring things sound exciting, which is a very rare, but very welcom trait, I think. My French teacher last year could make indirect object pronouns exciting. Really.

Would you rather have hand-me-downs from a sibling, or op-shop/thrift store clothes?

I'd rather have hand-me-downs. Much simpler, and thrift stores scare me. Thanks Mr. Nasty Man, that was awesome. (Heavy sarcasim implied.)

Besides, thrift STORES mean shopping, and I'll avoid that at all costs.

Would you rather go on The Oprah Show and confess your deepest secret to the world, while recieving help for the problem, or keep it a secret and have it slowly destroy you?
Why do writers write? Because it isn't there.

This is a difficult one. I always have a hard time opening up even to my friends, and I'd be petrified at the very thought of going on The Oprah Show. I guess that, in the end, I'd force myself to think rationally and find myself professional help. If getting help would mean talking to Oprah in front of a gazilion people, I'd do it.

Would you rather go on vacation with your friends or stay at home, saving for music/language/drawing/writing/whatever lessons?

(I chose the latter in case you were wondering.)

I think it depends where the vacation's to. I mean, if it was like, to another city in my state, probably not (mostly because there's only like one other city in my state), but if it was road-tripping (not that I'm old enough to drive unaccompanied yet, but shh), or interstate, or internationally, then I'd definitely go traveling. Mostly because I love it, and there are just so many places I haven't been. Like, everywhere.

So easily the former, unless vacation was like, let's-stay-in-a-hotel-and-go-to-the-beach-and-sunbake. So, if it's traveling, I'd rather do that, but if it's just 'vacation', in the city-slicking hotel-staying sense, I'd probably rather stay home.

Besides, I love my friends, and most traveling with them would be actual travel.

Would you rather a pet rat, or a pet snake?

Ha ha - that's an easy one for me - I already HAVE a pet snake. He's a three-foot long American corn snake by the name of Derek, and he eats rats for breakfast  ! (well, mice - he's not quite big enough for rats)

So maybe I should let someone else answer this one too!
(That and the fact that I can't think of another "would you rather..." question right now! :D )

I admit I'm afraid of snakes. I don't know why, I just am. I can't look at them when I'm in a zoo. Seeing Derek would probably give me a heart attack. ;) (Nice name, by the way.) So, my answer is: I'd rather have a rat.

Giorgia, I'd definitely go if it was road-tripping (that wouldn't require that much money anyway), but my friends aren't that adventurous. Their perfect vacation = let's-stay-in-a-hotel-and-go-to-the-beach-and-sunbake. I love them all to death, but that doesn't stop me from telling them they're a bit boring.

Would you rather publish original fiction under your real name or a pseudonym?

I think it depends on what the original fiction piece is subject matter wise. I wouldn't want anything autobiographical in my own name because I don't think people would look at me the same.

But, I also love the idea of a false name.

Would you rather be 10 years older than you are or 10 years younger?

Hard to say, because I kind of like being a teenager, but ten years younger and I'd be six. So... yeah...

I might have to go with ten years older. But reluctantly, because I enjoy being sixteen. Actually, my birthday's in a few weeks, and I really don't want to be seventeen. Don't know why, it just feels like a dirty age. Haha. "Dirty", how, I don't know. *Shrugs* Weird.

Would you rather go to a night club or a jazz bar?

(I'm all for the jazz bar, personally, but that's probably because I can't legally go to night clubs... Haha. Actually, the night clubs in my city suck... And we don't even have a jazz bar...)

Hmmm...

Would you rather have a job you love that pays squat or a ho-hum job that pays great?

I finish my job in a couple of weeks cos I've been made redundant, so any job would do!

Actually, I think right now I'd rather get a ho-hum job that pays really well, so that I can work my butt off for a while, earn a load of money, and then spend a few months travelling. That would be my plan. All I need to do is find the job... any offers?!!

OK - you have the choccies and the beer, a nice comfy sofa and a couple of friends to share it with. Would you rather spend the evening watching movies or playing silly board games?

It's a tough choice becasue of the amount of times that a couple of friends and I have actually got the chocolate, and the sofa (swapped the beer in for tea), and watched movies quite literally all night. I think it depends on who the friends are.

But if we're talking evening as in, unil a reasonable hour that isn't 9 o'clock the next morning, then I'd have to go with board games, I think.

Would you rather learn how to use a gun or a bow and arrow?

(I'm all for the archaic, myself. Besides, archery is just plain fun. And there're a heck of a lot fewer ethical problems related to archery...)
