Wee! I like Special Projects. And, I wanted to get a jump on it this week, since I'm always waiting until the last second lately...
Step 1: I chose Nash Bridges. Why? Because just about every other show I watch, I’ve either read fanfic from them and/or I’ve written fanfic there. And, for some reason, this show's been on my mind lately, so I figured why not? So, without further ado…
Step 2: It was a very interesting experience. Out of the four stories I read, it ended up that two were written by the same person (not on purpose, they were just the four that caught my attention). The fandom has about 80 or so stories total on ff.net, and most of those are written by the same people. Additionally, and somewhat surprisingly, these are some of the most prolific authors I’ve ever seen. Ever.
I don’t think I’ll keep reading for this fandom, mostly because the last time a story was updated or published was back in April of this year, so there’s not that much that’s new. I also don’t know that much about the fandom, because I haven’t seen the show in years, but I do remember that Nash is a smart a**.

I was slightly surprised and definitely caught off-guard by the pairing of Harvey (one of Nash’s partners) and Cassidy (Nash’s daughter). I know it’s not that much of a stretch considering she was engaged to one of Nash’s partners on the show, but Harvey was a lot older than her fiancé, so it was kind of weird.
Step 3: Okay, I went for a Supernatural/Gilmore Girls crossover. Because I could.

Step 4: So, the story I read was, “The Reasonable Doubt of the Crazy Lady of Stars Hollow” by E4 Blonde. I think it goes without saying that the story involved Lorelai, but also Sam and Dean. And the basic premise is Lorelai walks into a random coffee shop and runs into them.
This story was pretty good. It was funny, set mostly around Lorelai’s POV, and was as crazy as you would expect if someone from Stars Hollow were to run into Sam and Dean. I loved that the author didn’t draw it out, but they also didn’t get right to the punch line of, “I’m not Dean, I’m Sam, and this is my brother Dean.” It was a good story.

Dean: Talking to a messenger of God on a cell phone. It's kind of like watching a Hell's Angel riding a moped.
Castiel: This isn't funny, Dean. The voice says I'm almost out of minutes.
