Re: I have a question!

Hi guys. Just wondering if any of you are having trouble with fanfiction.net just now?

I've got an ongoing fic on there at present. Two days ago I posted chapter 16, which took 3 hours to appear, then it disappeared again, and then reappeared, etc... along with several reviews that keep appearing and disappearing. Today I posted chapter 17. The miami fic index list tells me there are only 15 chapters and 41 reviews, my own bit (with my doc. manager etc - don't know the technical term!) tells me there's 17 and 47 reviews... I'm a little puzzled as things keep disappearing!

I've also just logged onto ff.net again, and the fics are all over the place, not in order of update as they usually are...

Anyone else having problems, or is it just me?

Re: I have a question!

Okay, thank God I'm not the only person!

I posted a chapter yesterday, and it disappeared tonight. I wasn't sure what the heck happened!

And I know what you mean. When I look at my own profile and on my user panel, everything's as I put it. But when I actually click on the story, the last chapter's missing, along with six reviews. Yet, when I click on the reviews, they're all there!

Did logging out and logging in do anything?

I wholeheartedly concur!!

I've tried logging out and logging in again, and I've even tried re-booting my laptop just in case (my hubby's advice for everything - either hit it or re-boot it!). All to no avail. It was all OK when I went into the fic via my own profile page - and the next time I tried, it was all over the place again. I have no idea how to remedy it, or let THEM know there's a problem.

I guess I should just be glad it's not me ballsing it up as usual!!

It's started working properly again for me... is it all better for you, or is it still messed up?

Yeah, definitely seems better now - no problems for a couple of days now.

Re: I have a question!

Can someone from the US help me out with something, please? I've heard the phrase "batchelorette party" used in the US. In the UK we call it a "hen night" or "hen party". Are the terms "hen night" or "hen party" used at all in the US? (If they are, it would make my fic a whole lot easier to write...!) Could someone please enlighten me with the truth so I don't make an almightily incomprehensible mistake?
Thanks guys.

Re: I have a question!

I don't know about anyone else, but personally, I've never heard of a "hen night" or "hen party". That's just me, though.

I can't wait to read this story, Jude! :D

Re: I have a question!

Neither have I. Bachellorette party is the only term I've ever heard for it. If you need any help, just ask. We do have the beta request forum if you're unsure of something.
