Jude, I think you're right; writing outside one's comfort zone is bound to bring something good -- not necessarily a good story, but certainly that great feeling of achievement and confidence once the story is finished. I've been thinking how my stories are getting too repetitive to my liking, so maybe a challenge is just what I need. Since your and Giorgia's enthusiasm for FCG challenges is contagious and since the story I'm working on (the first one I'm going to finish before I post the first chapter) isn't going too well, maybe I'll give the next challenge a go.

Giorgia, thanks so much for the welcome! I'm always happy as a clam when I meet another Crossing Jordan fan. :D When it comes to CSI: Miami, you're just like my cousin. :) He does that (laughing, I mean, and -- in his case -- impersonating) all the time, which irritates his mom (another fan of Horatio :)) to no end.

Lack of life experience, I suppose. Haha. Neh. I'm more of a Fox Mulder person myself. *Grins* But no one else in my family really has any "shows". As in, something that they watch every week. Except my mum and Spooks (or MI-5: which one is the English title?).

So I tend to be alone in my obsessing... Hehe. Not that I mind. I don't annoy people with my annoying fangirl squeeing, so. Haha.

  Maybe you're right. My mom kind of likes him, too.

Giorgia, I used to adore Mulder. :D I still like him a lot, but I haven't watched an episode of TXF for what seems like ages -- I guess I still haven't come to terms with seasons eight and nine.

P.S. Spooks is the British one.

Interesting that it's called Spooks here, too. Wonder why. Probably thought Americans would take it to be a horror show instead of what it is. Like when they changed the title of the first Harry Potter book, because they thought American audiences wouldn't understand.

*Rolls eyes*

You worry about publishing companies, sometimes.

But I own the whole X-Files series. Except the first movie (and I don't actually want the second, it was just weird). But you're right about the last two seasons. I liked Monica and John, but I couldn't quite get into them. I watched the last episode of the ninth season before I'd watched the fourth episode, becuase it was just annoying me.

I don't think that they needed to have him away for like two years to make the audience miss him. Two episodes would have easily sufficed. Haha.
