I think that's an interesting idea, Taylor. It just may work. I'll be waiting anxiously for LLK's word on it :)

I'm hesitant to change our formula here. But I've been thinking I'd like a way to boost participation and I'm willing to try most anything.

So... we can try. BUT it needs tweaking I think. It should be one thread period. Not one for every fandom. We've gotta keep a healthy respect for bandwitdth and we don't want our forum to look spammy.

Also I think that every fandom should be welcomed in that thread--without exception. Challenges should be ambiguous and should on pertain to a certain fandom if that's what the author has a specific desire to read.

Also, I think that the pieces written should be posted in a sister thread so that people can read them and comment as they see fit.

As many people who want to should get to write for a given challenge but only the first person who chooses to do it has to be critiqued by the challenge author.

Critiques should be on how well they followed the challenge. Everything else can left to if/when the story is ever featured.

Yeah, those tweaks are better than the original.

By one thread, I mean somthing like this:

Mini-Challenges (in the forum index). then in that forum, there are little links, like how it is in all the others. For example the Games thread, in it are seperate games. It could be the same way but with the different shows.

Well, it makes sense in my head.
Why do writers write? Because it isn't there.

Right. I understood.

I'm willing to give this project 2 threads to start out with. That's all that are necessary.

I don't want to divide the shows. The FCG is about all fandoms and any fandoms. I don't think that it's conducive to the unity I'm trying to insight between all fanfiction fandoms if we have a division of fandmons for these challenges.

Plus there's bandwidth to consider. You can have the two threads. I'll even sticky them for you.

Within those, how would you feel about featuring/including original work along side fanfictions? That's set t apart form the main projects and give it more substance.

I'm fine with doing original fiction. I've wanted to make it a part of this site for a while now.

We've discussed it haven't we?

You can go edit my threads for this to include a reminder that original fiction is welcome. If you wanna.
