Things Unexplained and/or Your Favorite Ghost Story

Since we all love each other might as well have a place we can all talk!

Things Unexplained and/or Your Favorite Ghost Story

I'm always curious to know what people think about weird coincidences versus ghosts and spirits. Especially after having a few encounters myself with ghosts (and knowing many stories of weird happenings around my college), I would love to hear either some of your experiences or stories you've heard or even dreams you've had.

I'll start with one of mine.

My father died about four and a half years ago, and I remember this one dream that I've had a few times after he died. In this dream, I'm rushing around my house, trying to get things together because I was running late for school. My sister wasn't there, my brother was on the couch, and my mother was standing in the living room. Also in this dream was my father, sitting at the kitchen table, in a chair by the door. And he's staring at me. I finally get everything together and as I'm leaving, I walk past the chair my father's sitting in, and my jacket hits the chair... only, the chair is now empty.

Anyone else experience things like that? Post them here!
Dean: Talking to a messenger of God on a cell phone. It's kind of like watching a Hell's Angel riding a moped.
Castiel: This isn't funny, Dean. The voice says I'm almost out of minutes.

Wow, that is kind of weird, Race! Have you tried to find some kind of "interpretation" for this dream? Especially as you've had the dream several times, maybe it's trying to tell you something and you haven't quite got it yet? I dunno. Maybe not.

So, can I add to this thread by telling a bit of a ghost story?

Here's a story about my grandparents that happened way back, I think in the thirties or forties. They were driving home through a park late one night, and suddenly a guy appeared in the middle of the road, too late for my grandpa to stop. My grandpa ran into the guy as he slammed on the brakes. He got out of the car and went back to look, and there was no-one there. He found out later that in the early 1900s a man had been killed on that road being run over by a horse and carriage late one night...

Hmmmmm.... :?

Wow, that's scary stuff.

My brother and I didn't play well together...

Once he threw a coffee can at the back of my head--out of nowhere. I heard a voice saying "duck" and managed to dodge the thing before it put me in the ER.

That and my Grandma's house. Those are my ghost stories.
And what of Henry, my Odysseus? Henry is an artist of another sort, a disappearing artist. Our life together in this too-small apartment is punctuated by Henry's small absences.
