1. Plain Truth - Jodi Picoult, I've read it 7 times and I plan on reading it a lot more

I'm ginving Picoult a chance again this week, mostly becuase of the upcoming My Sister's Keeper film. I haven't read Plain Truth yet but do own it (and have for several years.) I've either loved or hated the books I've read. I whole heartedly dispised MSK when I'd first read it, but honestly now I think I half hate and half love it. I loved Harvesting The Heart so... I dunno.

Have you had the same experience with her? Either loving or hating her books. And do you think I should give PT a read? Will I like it?

Anyway, I'm reading Change of Heart. So far so good... but I don't decide how I feel about her books until the VERY end. Haha.

Edit: Misuse of four/for. I guess that's what I get for posting on the FCG while I'm having several IM conversations, text convos, and am on the phone...

I have that with Picoult too, I read Salem Falls, but I hate it! And I sort of dis-like Vanishing Acts, but PT is my favorite. I don't really know you that well, but it is a very good book!
The movie (PT) sucked. That's all I have to say about it, the book is much better.

Ooh, I am going to read Change of Heart.

Oh, and I know the feeling of mistyping things...

One of my friends has read everything she's written, another few love a whole bunch of Picoult novels, but I've never read any of them. Is it worth it?

She's infuriating. If you can handle reading a book that just... well... yes, read some of her stuff. It's like those pens people have that shock you if you use them. Haha. You can't help but keep going back for more.

I'll read Plain Truth next.

Have you read MSK, Amber?

Yeah, it was the first one I read, actually, a few years ago. I really liked the sub-story, between Campbell and Julia, but maybe I'm just a sap. The conflict was good though and got me thinking, I like that.
I wasn't really fond of Sara...

I'm a sap too, I loved Campbell and the whole Campbell/Julia story. It's what keep me interested the whole time! Haha.

I also loved Judge. :-p

And yes, I hated Sarah.

You know they cut Julia's character from the film?

NOOOO! You're kidding! They make horrible movies! Ugh! And I heard they were making the girls younger!
*insert not-so-very-nice-word here*

Judge is adorable! I like the part with the rain and he tries to get to it!

Nah, the girls are the right age. Abigail Breslin is playing Anna.

But next to Campbell and Judge Julia was my favorite character. I'm upset they cut her.

I'll still be there to see it opening day!

Then again, that's because I expect that's the day they'll release the trailer for the The Time Traveler's Wife film.

You'll just have to see consecutive films. Hehe.

And I hate it when they cut characters from films. It's just wrong.

I'm going ot be dragged to this film anyway. That's what I get for having fanatical friends. I have to sit through the Harry Potter films (I haven't read the books) while at least three of them complain about how wrong everything is.

"That's not supposed to happen!" etc., etc.

This year I think I'm making them go first together, and then and only then I'll go with them, becuase no doubt they'll see it more than once.

More than three, actually. One of my frisnds has four sisters equally as fanatical, and oh, man, am I in for it.

Back to relevant things, I like Abigail Breslin.

OK, I never did get back to this, so it's about time I did! Where were we? Four books. Hmmmmmm.

1. Triptych by Karin Slaughter - it was the first book of hers that I ever read, and I absolutely loved it from start to finish.

2. A large Psychology textbook - I've always fancied studying psychology and never got around to it. It would also be fun to really freak everyone else out (or just make 'em laugh!) with theories on why they're all behaving as they are in our little island community!

3. The Complete Works of Shakespeare. It's been sitting on the shelf for years, and I guess I would get to the point where I'm so bored I would just have to read it at long last. Also - don't you think it would be fun, on those long balmy nights, to dress up and ham it up with a bit of the old Bard...?

4. The Green Heart of the Snowdrop by Kate McIlhagga - a book of the most beautiful prayers and poems that you can read over and over, and each time they'll say something different.
I've learned so much from my mistakes... I think I'll make another one!

OK - next question:

If you were washed up on a desert island, what is the most inventive, creative, unique or frankly bizarre way you can think of for getting off the island and home again?

I think trying to swim back home would be pretty odd in those circumstances. Then again, flying home on a big pink flamingo seems a bit more bizarre.
