Challenge #10

The Rules: *please see the site main page for any extra information on rules.*

1. Everyone is allowed to participate.
2. You will have until Saturday to write your piece.
3. IF you write a piece and submit it to me you MUST critique next week. No exceptions.
4. When you've written your piece please PM me a link to it.
5. Next week I'll assign everyone who has written a piece someone else's to critique.
6. Have fun!
7. No challenge element is set in stone, but don't bend it TOO much.
8. Can be written for ANY fandom you so choose, so have fun with it!

The Challenge:

1. Must include the phrase: “Heroes. Giants. Villians. Wizards. True Love. Not just your typical, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum, fairy tale.” Or the phrase: "You don't belong here."
2. Must be any one of the following: Angst, Romance, Humor, Songfic, or Horror.
3. Must involve the presence of one of the following: Michael Symon, Cher, John Ritter, or LLK. (Choose wisely!)
4. Must be a minimum rating of K and a max rating of M.
5. No more 1,500 or less than 750.

For those of you who opt to use me in your piece (if you do) I more than welcome it. My only requests are that you A. don't write something M rated and B. don't use my actual name Lenora McCracken will work just fine. (Those are family names.)

Happy Writing

-LLK

I'm in! (I'm always in...). But hopefully I'll have enough time throughout the week. I'm sure I'll find some time.

Can't wait to see if anyone uses you, LLK. Haha. I'm going to have to Google some of the others, though...

Count me in! I just wish I had longer than Saturday, but I'll manage. Rules are rules.

Hmm, using that phrase could be difficult. I might use both. *Talks to self* You overacheiver, you.

I'm almost done. :)
Dean: Talking to a messenger of God on a cell phone. It's kind of like watching a Hell's Angel riding a moped.
Castiel: This isn't funny, Dean. The voice says I'm almost out of minutes.

I hope to get to this today, between ferrying kids to a movie shoot and pretending to do some housework!

I'm late, but I'm in. Hmmm... think I'll try a new fandom.

Movie shoot, Leni? Do you prefer Jude?

I'm still writing my Challenge piece, because my grandparents have been over and so I've been hanging with them all week (plus school and work and God knows what else). So not a lot of free time, but I'll get it done tomorrow, promise!

The phrase is what got me going, lol. I've got an idea for a story, but school starts here on Monday and I still have some things to do to get ready, so I don't know if I'll get it written on time. But I'll try.

Keep your fingers crossed :D

"Movie shoot" is not as grand as it sounds - my son and a group of friends enjoy writing, filming, directing and acting in their own movies, and I get the job of making sure they and their props etc get to the right location at the right time!

As for the name - don't care! Jude's my real name, but I answer to anything as long as it's reasonably polite!

Woo I finished :) It's unbetaed though, but I triple checked it. I fear I may have got a bit comma happy though hehe. I'm willing to provide a bit of backstory for the person who get's mine, might make the critique a little easier :) If you need a few things explaining just yell. Can't wait to read them all :D

Haha, sounds like your son and his friends'd have a lot of fun! My friends and I film just about everything, but never with any kind of... purpose. Haha. They sort of accidentally made a self-help video in their Multimedia class in grade nine, which was utterly hilarious. Our school was quite literally ON the beach (there is only a small soccer field separating the buildings from the sand), so there's lots of wave sounds and soaring seagulls and the like. Very funny.

And in that case, I suppose I should probably call you Jude. Haha.

Oh, God, I'm running out of time!! I'll have to put aside my English and French (and Science and math... and hopefull not Bio.) homework for a few minutes and try to whip something up.

Okay, I'm done, and I'm knackered, and I'm sorry to whever has to critique my story this week. I think it's really, really bad. But I can't be bothered checking, because sleep. Now.

Well, I finished and posted LATE last night... It's not my best by any stretch, but hopefully it doesn't suck too much. My muse was being stubborn...

On a more positive note, I did manage to write an entirely new fandom!
